Abbreviations and Phrases

Wait, what did you say?

Did we use an abbreviation or acronym you aren’t familiar with? Both the military and the survival community are famous for using infinite acronyms, so naturally Dennis is doubly guilty.

Hopefully we’ve listed and defined what you need here. If not, contact us and ask us to add it to the list.

FEMA — Federal Emergency Management Agency:

PT — Physical Training

SHTF — Shit Hit The Fan

TEOTWAWKI — The End Of The World As We Know It

WROL — Without Rule Of Law

Ounces Equal Pounds — Even the little things add up. That little item you add to your pack may only weigh a couple of ounces, but eventually, those ounces will add up to pounds.

Train As You Survive — Train in a manner that is consistent with the nature and perils of survival. For example, if you know you will be traversing hills when you bug out, don’t set the incline on your treadmill to zero. Run some damn hills!

Welcome To The Suck — Things are about to get very uncomfortable for you.
